Set the sight, then hold Space to draw and let go to shoot.
Space draws and releases; the clicker goes at full draw and letting go before
it short-draws the bow, which loses real arrow speed. Arrow keys move the sight (hold Shift
for a quarter of a millimetre), V changes the view, T uses the tape.

About this Archery
An independent reimplementation of the World Archery recurve target round — the
codified sport governed by the World Archery Federation, founded in 1931 as the
Fédération Internationale de Tir à l’Arc and renamed in 2011.
Target archery has been on the Olympic programme continuously since 1972, and the
individual match has been decided by the set system rather than a cumulative score
since 2010.
What is faithful
The 122 cm face: ten scoring zones of equal width, 6.1 cm each, with every
boundary diameter taken from the rulebook’s own table, and an inner 10 of 6.1 cm
across. The 80 cm face and the 80 cm 6-ring face too.
The line-breaking rule: an arrow whose shaft touches a dividing line scores the
higher value, so a hit exactly on the 12.2 cm circle is a 9 and not an 8 — and the
arrow is scored by its shaft, which is why a fatter shaft is worth points.
The colours by scoring value and their Pantone references; that there is
no dividing line between light blue and black, nor between black and white.
The face centre 1.30 m above the ground on a butt leaning back
10 to 15°; the 3 m line, the 1 m line, the target number 4 m out.
72 arrows for the qualification round, maximum 720; the recurve individual
match as five sets of three arrows, two set points for a set and one each for a
tie, first to six; the single-arrow shoot-off decided on value and then on the
arrow closest to the centre.
Ranking ties broken by the count of inner 10s first and then of 10s, at long
distances.
What recurve is not allowed: no release aid, no magnifying or levelling sight,
one sighting point only, no electronics — and no draw-weight limit at all, which is
why the bow here is described by what it does rather than by a legal maximum.
What is measured rather than legislated
The rules fix no arrow speed, mass or drag, so the flight model uses published
measurements: a drag coefficient of 1.94 measured on a real shot by shooting machine
and acoustic timing, alternatives of 1.56 and 2.05 measured in a magnetic-suspension wind
tunnel for short and large vanes, and launch speeds of 56.4 and 58 m/s measured on
recurve shots. The arrow is integrated with quadratic drag on the velocity relative to the
air, so the crosswind drift and the drop are consequences and the sight marks are solved
from the trajectory rather than tabulated.
What is this app’s own
The bow’s storage factor and dynamic efficiency, calibrated so the arrow leaves at
the speed those published measurements report.
The archer: draw time, how the aim wanders at full draw, how steadiness decays, the
opponent’s wind-reading error, and how much of a group’s spread is shared
across an end.
The sRGB values for the rulebook’s Pantone colours, the butt’s dimensions,
the flags, the lighting and the cameras.
